Public health

I am looking for a public health physician to write this section.

Physicians working in the field of public health medicine seem to be more aware than most of the potential impact of peak oil and related issues on public health.  Most of the papers published in medical journals in recent years (see Medical Literature Review) are from public health physicians.  Most of the papers identify the same set of problems: a peak in oil production and consumption leading, on the other side of the peak, to economic disruption, resource scarcity, increasing unemployment and poverty, all of which have potential impacts on public health.
